You should know that I’m being very careful with wood-to-metal fit and taking my time with sanding, filling and finishing the excellent XXX stock and forearm to sent for my early ’86 Winchester short rifle. When it’s done, I’ll tell all my SASS friends it came from Rob at Silver Hill.

And since I collect and restore old Winchesters, you can be sure I’ll be back for more!

Hi Rob.
Received the wood set yesterday and spent about 5 hrs doing the inletting. It looks fantastic. Fortunately I have the ebony insert from the old stock.
Thanks for great pieces of wood that are appropriate for that gun. I will send a photo when finished.
